BuyanBuyan

You don´t have to be Bond to know that VEEN fits perfectly with wine. While we have launched a new market in Singapore, we have made an even more important milestone.  Buyan, the Russian Haute Cuisine and Caviar Bar recently opened its doors in Singapore with a staggering wine list dating back to 1877 and worth 3.5 Million dollars. There is no question why they chose VEEN, but there is a nice story to be read here...

Sacred land in Singapore

We visited Buyan (“sacred land” in Russian folklore) last month before the opening night and were amazed by the quality and detail of decisions made by owner Julia Sherstyuk. "We wanted to create a classical Russian set up with a contemporary feeling without loosing the edge of surprise" said Sherstyuk. The visit made us understand what extent of attention to detail had gone into this incredible project. You could call it the Perestroika for Russian food and drinks culture in Singapore; certainly brought a smile on our face having gotten a glimpse of this concept.

In addition to the rarely common vertical vintage selection of wines, including a bottle of champagne dated 1907 from the private collection of Tsar Nicholas II, Buyan serves over 50 styles of premium vodkas with – you don’t have to guess - some of the worlds best caviar. All of this and the authentic fine Russian cuisine created by Head Chef Kirill Shiraev certainly put together the pieces for an exotic culinary adventure and an experience of luxury, similar to the bygone era of Czars and Czarinas.

On top of that; you're in Singapore!
