Welcome to elegant Café Aalto, in the upper floor of Academic Bookstore located in the beautiful Esplanadi of Helsinki next to Stockmann department store. The interior of the café is designed by architect Alvar Aalto (1898-1976), often called "the father of modernism" and one of the most famous Finnish architects. The café's delicious pies, salads, sandwiches and cakes are made in their own kitchen according to the best European traditions.
CaféBar Luomus is in the interiors of Design Museum in Helsinki. The museum is definitely one of Helsinki's precious pearls with a collection of over 35,000 objects and 100,000 drawings. Design Museum is devoted to the exhibition of both Finnish and foreign design, including industrial design, fashion, and graphic design. The museum includes a permanent exhibition devoted to the history of Finnish design from 1870 to the present day, as well as space for changing exhibitions.
