VEEN Design and Awards
Design is very important to VEEN. Our goal is to produce true classics, products that will stand time, work well with the story and be ergonomic and comfortable in use. The design has to go well with various interiors, food, wines and moods - just like VEEN, the water.
VEEN Wave 66 -bottle is designed by Antti Eklund. The design with the wave engraving in the back, has been greatly inspired by the first wave raised by Veen Emonen. The secure tamper evident cap is highlighted with polished aluminum.
VEEN is the proud winner of many international design competitions. The most important of these, The GOOD DESIGN award, is the oldest and the most prestigious design award program in the world. The GOOD DESIGN award is presented by the Chicago Athenaeum. It was founded by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, together with such design pioneers as Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames.
The VEEN Wave 66 spring water bottle was awarded the Best Bottle in Glass award in the global bottledwaterworld awards 2007. VEEN has also been nominated for the Designpreis 2009, the “prize of prizes”. The first VEEN bottle is in the collection of the Helsinki Design Museum.
The VEEN Wave 66, Round 69 and LongJohn 33 are designed for horeca use. For more information about the VEEN bottles, click here.
