Story of VEEN
VEEN Waters Finland was established in 2006 and is registered at Ylitornio in the Finnish Lapland. The headquarters are located in the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. With rapid pace, VEEN has found its way to international acclaim and many of the world's finest restaurants.
The idea was born between friends in December 2006. Current management is Tomi Grönfors (MD), Ville Hvitfelt (COO) and Mikko Nikkilä (SD). Other members of team VEEN can be found here.
The Name
The name VEEN comes from Veen Emonen, Mother of the Water. She is introduced to us by the Finnish national epic Kalevala, which describes the rise of the Earth and the mankind together with the nature's spirits. She is responsible for rising waves that bring good fortune to all sailors and fishermen alike. With the name we wanted to emphasize the remoteness of our country and the purity of our environment paying respect to Veen Emonen at the same time. We are extremely proud of her, as she has protected our waters for ages, and still continues to do so.
VEEN was born out of desire and passion. We cherish our water, the purest water on the planet. Passion makes us smile, and that is a trait never to be underestimated.
