VEEN AND QASIMI TO OPEN SPRING/SUMMER 2010 AT LFW

Industrial interior created a cool pinpointing framework for the fragile beauty of Qasimi's fashion jewels. This time Qasimi showed us all the way and as usual quests were enjoying the show as well as sipping VEEN to go with it.

QASIMI SS 2010

Ancient spiritualism of the Byzantium era is the inspiration for Qasimi’s fourth collection. Playing on the concept of divine beings, the collection takes the drama and strength of the ancient aesthetic and brings it to life in their unique signature style for Spring/Summer 2010.

This collection is Qasimi’s bravest and most mature to date– drapery using the finest fabrics and bold structured silhouettes are hand embellished in swarovski crystals, antique metals, laser-cut mirrors, and intricate beading. Architectural shoulders sit atop delicate chiffons, and sharp classical shapes create space for decadent, extravagant pieces to shine through. A bold use of colour sets the collection apart from Qasimi’s previous work as deep turquoise, blood red and burgundy contrast gold and ornate embroidery.

Scott Wilson’s dynamic jewellery and Nasir Mazhar’s extravagant headwear pieces support and complete the Qasimi collection.
