The donations were gathered through selling VEEN Art bottles exclusively at Harrods. The bottles appeared with the Kaj Stenvall painting, “Better than a cookie!” which was also donated to the children’s hospital in London. "This is a great opportunity for us to bring joy to so many children, doing what we do best," says Kaj Stenvall.

What is VEEN Art?

VEEN Art is a concept featuring famous artists and designers bringing VEEN Water into their creations. The artist has full artistic integrity to complete the work. “We want to create awareness with the artists and raise money for good causes,” says Tomi Grönfors, MD of VEEN Waters Finland Oy. The first VEEN Art exhibition created 10.000 euros for children in Finnish Lapland.

The painting features the duck familiar from Stenvall’s earlier works. Water is playing the leading role and is featured in three forms: in a glass, in the sea and in tears. The tears are there out of pure joy and enjoyment of sipping VEEN. It is hard to say whether the duck is laughing or crying for the water being so smooth. Industrial interior created a cool pinpointing framework for the fragile beauty of Qasimi's fashion jewels. This time Qasimi showed us all the way and as usual quests were enjoying the show as well as sipping VEEN to go with it.

QASIMI SS 2010

Ancient spiritualism of the Byzantium era is the inspiration for Qasimi’s fourth collection. Playing on the concept of divine beings, the collection takes the drama and strength of the ancient aesthetic and brings it to life in their unique signature style for Spring/Summer 2010.

This collection is Qasimi’s bravest and most mature to date– drapery using the finest fabrics and bold structured silhouettes are hand embellished in swarovski crystals, antique metals, laser-cut mirrors, and intricate beading. Architectural shoulders sit atop delicate chiffons, and sharp classical shapes create space for decadent, extravagant pieces to shine through. A bold use of colour sets the collection apart from Qasimi’s previous work as deep turquoise, blood red and burgundy contrast gold and ornate embroidery.

Scott Wilson’s dynamic jewellery and Nasir Mazhar’s extravagant headwear pieces support and complete the Qasimi collection.

In todays modern society, there are very few people who force us to think with a simple photograph. In recent decades, photographers such as Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz as well as photojournalists such as Kevin Carter and Eddie Adams have stopped us to think about world that we live in.

John Stoddart is without doubt, a man who opened our eyes to new views of well known celebrities and people. A photographer who sites "maestro of horror" Alfred Hitchcock and Roman Polanski as his sources of inspiration.

His images make us feel uncomfortably aroused and at the same time, humanely equal with the photographed person. John Stoddart has been a pioneering photographer in `London for 25 years and many of his portraits have become the iconic images of his ‘sitters.'

VEEN glass bottle, manufactured in Europe by O-I, has been recognized by Red Dot Design Awards, one of the largest and most prestigious design competitions in the world.

The bottle was acknowledged by Red Dot’s international jury as an excellent example of packaging design. The clear bottle demonstrates how glass can optimize a product’s look and feel. As the Red Dot competition makes clear, the requirements of modern packaging design are constantly becoming more complex. In the face of overfull shelves in department stores, supermarkets and cafés, packaging design more and more often becomes the deciding factor in consumers’ purchasing decisions.

“To say the least: we are honoured! Though the honour is not only ours to claim. When building brands and creating a successful design you need a close co-operation with companies like O-I”, says Tomi Gronfors, managing director of VEEN.

VEEN has also been nominated for several other awards during its first two years of existence.
